Fan Clutch question

I have a 02 4.6 4x4 and was wondering if it was normal to hear the fan clutch engaging/disengaging at idle after the motor has fully warmed up.. Its fairly loud when cold, and i understand thats normal..but i have never heard a fan clutch constantly engaging/disengaging as much as this one does..dealer says its normal.. any comments?

Cool

Hey Chris, my 97 does the same thing and went to a mechanic to ask him about it. He said it is normal for them to do it. Something with the computer constantly updating and adjusting itself for best performance
