I have a 1997 F-150. It just went over 48,500 miles and the check engine light came on. It seems to run fine. Should I take it in to have it analyzed or is there something else I should check first? Second problem I have is that periodically my Door Ajar light and audible sound comes on and stays on even after the door is shut. This of course keeps my interior light on. It ussually lasts for a couple of miles driving down the road and then clicks off. I think its the switch on the drivers side. Would this be hard to get to to change? Any help with these problems would be appreciated. Thanks

 

I couldnt help ya on the engine light thing.
but just spray some wd40 inside the door latch a nice coating and the door ajar syndrome will go away.
