Question Break in period for 5.4 ?

How long of a break in period should I give my 5.4 liter before changing to a Flow Master exhaust and adding a K&N air filter system?

When the new filter is clogged and the OE exhaust is rusted out...

Seriously, I fail to see why it matters!

Scott,

10 miles or 10 minutes, which ever occurs first. As soon as my truck was home I installed the Borla from my 97. The next thing I did was call Mike Troyer and order my Superchips. Then I drove down to the local performance parts store and purchased my K&N.
I have been adding on ever since.

I would recommend that you do nothing or you will be infected with the add on virus just like me. A choo... Its too late! You have it now too! Run! Run!

Regards

Jean Marc Chartier
