Hour Meter Location?
I've got an engine hour meter - where should I put it? If anyone gives me the obvious answer - then I would say it's very hard to read it back there.
Got it from Newark Electronics

I don't know where to stick that thing (no jokes lol)
I know a guy who drives tow truck, and he added a bunch of stuf to his truck:
several police scanners, 2 way radios, stereo equipment, all kinds of things.
What he did was have some kind of shelf custom made that hung down from the roof, everything was installed in there, and it looked very neat and tidy.
He even ordered the same factory carpet to cover it all up and it looked great.
I saw this little unit on Pace Edwards site, and this is similar to what he did:
Granted, this is way overkill for one small display you have, but I'm really not sure the best place for it, where it will look good.
I heard those hour meters will be on all new Fords starting 2003.
Also, It's not something that you have to look at all the time right? So maybe you can put it in the back somewhere - since you won't be looking at it often

In construction equipment you usually find them on the kick panel below the gauges. That way it's protected and easy to read but it's not in the way when your trying to look at other gauges. I think somewhere on the lower dash, or in the engine compartment would look cool in a truck.
