Running ruf

My 99 F150 seems to miss fire or fowled out.
I have replaced the plugs and wires, it did not help.
It only rides poorly in the mooring for about 10 minutes and then will run fine no matter wether I turn it off and on. If I leave it off for the whole day (8 hours) somtimes it will do it again, again only untill it seems to warm up. I am also getting worse gas milage than I was befor the problem started. Sometimes it seems to help if a put in high octane gas. I have been told by others they belive it might be a sensor, If so which one. Any help would be great, thanks.

Question wires...

Hey cs70 and welcome to the board...

What motor do you have...cause my 99 5.4 has no wires, it has the coil on plug....and what kind of plugs did you change too and how many miles are on them and the motor...

I have 4.6 with 70,000 on the engine and 6,000 on the plugs and wires. I changed the plugs after the problem thinking it would solve the problem, no luck. If I rember correctly I installed Bosh Dual Split Fire. Thanks for responding.

Mine was running rough, and I figured out it was a bad o2 sensor. After that was changed out it ran like a champ!
