Noises Fixed!!!!
I took effie, my BEAUTFUL NEW TRUCK!!!!
In for some work before my 36,000 mile pumpkin mark. I had some niggly problems mostly squeaks and rattles to deal with.
The dlr, Lithia Ford of Richland, Washington in the "Great Stinkin' Desert National Monument and Nuclear Waste Dump! " Took care of ALL of my issues!!!!!! One major thing they found was I reported a valve train rattle from the right side of the engine when cold on acceleration. The noise dissapated when warmed up, so I didnt think it was piston slap. I also reported the engine seemed to "growl" when cold. They verified both conditions and replaced the serpentine belt and tensioner--under warranty--and THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!! Seems that there is a part update on this issue. I have seen other posts here where owners reported some valve train noise that appeared to be piston slap.
They had the truck a few days, which didnt matter to me as I wanted everything fixed, which they did.
Kudo's to Lithia Ford--not the only Ford dlr here (thankfully) but they did an excellent job.
Lithia Ford--www.lithia.com--service dept has their heads screwed on right--Thumbs Up!!!

I have a similar compliment to Earl Floyd Ford in Carrollton, Ky. While they didn't colve my problems (which I expected) they were very nice and curtious. They listened to my problems, didn't look at me like a dumbazz, and actually gave some good advice and tried to help me out.
