GEARS, GEARS, GEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rest depends on your particular setup i.e., tires, 4x4, type of use, etc.

Thumbs up

Gear change is expensive. You can always install 'Poor Mans' 4.10 gears.

Assuming you have 3.55 now, just slap on some rubber that is 5 inches shorter than what you got now.

Shazaam!! You got 4.10 gears.

Talking

I think I will do both. Gears and headers. I plan on going to 410's and having Dallas 4wheelparts install them. I will do the JBA Ceramic coated cat-forward headers myself. I plan supercharging this summer with Vortech 8-10psi. I hope the tranny holds up.

How do I know which ratio I have now??

Hey 98STXV8, does Dallas 4wheelparts have performance parts for the 5.4L? If so, where are they located? I'll have to pay them a visit.

Cool

98STXV8-Before you install the blower and maybe even before the 4:10 gears, I would install a shift kit in the transmission so it is not sliding into the gears. It will work perfect with the chip you have. Mike T recomends the lower setting for every day use and I concure. A blower will make your truck a different animal and you will be looking for excuses to go for a ride!
