If you have a "service engin soon" light on and discover code P0401 on your computer you may have a bad DPFE (Differential Pressure Feedback EGR) sensor. The DPFE sensor tells the computer what the optimum flow should be through the EGR valve with analog voltage inputs. Check with a diagnostic computer or just replce the thing if you have the extra bucks.
