EGR valve explained here!!!

This system is not used on the 97+ F-150s.
They use a different system. An EGR backpressure transducer measures the flow through the EGR valve to the exaust manifold and sends a signal to the PCM.

I didn't know that about the post '97's. I was posting this thread because there are several of us with pre-97's that are having egr problems. But thanks for bringing that to my attention.
