I just recently noticed a noise coming from my engine. The only way I can explain it is it sounds like a muffled bird chirp. It does not do it all the time but when I do hear it, it only does it about every two seconds. With the hood open it sounds like it is coming from the passenger side of the engine somewhere towards the top. Any suggestions? Thanks.

 

Does it chirp on start-up and eventually go away? If it does, then it's possible the belt is slipping. The only cure I've heard of is a shorter belt.

 

it could be to low octane and it is pinging I duno just another idea
