Question What about Mr. TURBO?!?!?!

Hey guys,

Another point of discussion. Has anyone given thought to a "Turbocharged F-150." We're constantly talking about the almighty Magnacharger, but turbopower is a bunch of "free" ponies that a nice 5.4 would LOVE to munch on. Lemme do a little research on it, (feel free to help me a bit). But you may be reading a post from the first owner of a "Supercharged Turbocharged Harley F-150." And all those little puny Lightning's can kiss my...Hitch. Add to that a 50# shot of Laughing Gasssss, and I'll be laughing at the Doctor with the Dodge Viper down the street. So, who-what-where-when-why about a turbo for a 2000 5.4??? Meddle with that one for a while.

Stay Out Of My Taildust,

Mike

White Trash,

The E-mail adress at the site you gave me was down. How about giving me a BOM, an approximate cost, and the NET horsepower gains I could hope to acheive using a Turbo on a 5.4. Drop me an e-mail back, don't want to waste this board with advertisements (some people seem to get a little crotchity). Thanks in advance,

Mike (Loggybayou@aol.com)

Talking

Talk with Dave Inall or Tom Porter at Incon. They have a single turbo kit that isn't CARB exempt or 50 state legal, and it's primarily marketed in the Middle East. Greg Banish at Detroit Speedworks can give you more info. I was razzing him a bit to generate some interest, but Incon is VERY busy with LS1 and 4.6 Mustang kits. I have the BOM (bill of materials) for the kit and it is VERY complete. Hands down, this thing would out perform all of the other forms of forced induction.....pure speculation, but confident.
