Need help with Nissan!?!?
I know this isn't a Ford truck or even a Ford, but still, maybe some of you can help. My brother has a 1988 Nissan Pulsar, and it has a problem. It dies. A LOT. It runs fine, idles fine, but if you hit the brakes or turn on anything (like the a/c or the headlights), it dies, even if you are revving it. Does anyone know where to start looking for problems like this? Please help, y'all, and thanks in advance!
The first thing i would look at is the alternator and charging system. Make sure they are all ok, the alternator may be charging the battery enough to keep starting the truck but when you give it a high electrical load it can't handle it and sucks power from the ignition circuit. Another thing would be a short somewhere in one of the main power wires.
Have fun, electrical problems suck.
