You can want and hope all you want but your sympathy is not getting my truck fixed. If ford trucks are so great why don't you spend $25,000.00 on a new truck.Maybe you will get a good one and maybe you won't. Kinda like gambling. At least when you lose money at a casino you can walk out and forget about it. You don't have to sit in it every day and be reminded of how you blew your money.

Thumbs down

You don't want my sympathy? Fine! You don't have it. You say I should spend $25,000 on a new truck & experience problems? Well I spent a proportionate amount on a used, first model year truck & have NO problems! Maybe I am a little better at picking out a truck than you are! You know, alot of the problems everyone is complaining about are noticeable from the test drive! You STILL bought the truck - didn't you see door cracks or hear piston slap or drivetrain clunks? True some problems don't appear till later but don't try to tell me that others weren't apparent immediately.
As for the post you left under the other thread where you show such extreme intelligence & self control & tell 94LightningGal & Harley Guy & me to get a room - just how CONSTRUCTIVE is that? You have the nerve to criticize ME for not having anything constructive to say? I TRIED - I suggested having local news stations get involved, trying a website called www.ugetheard.com, of writing letters to the local newspaper editors revealing which dealership is shoddy, of getting a Ford Complaint Website going - that isn't an attempt to help you? Sorry - I don't know what else to do since you & your pals are beyond reasoning with. If I were offered a new engine I'd have taken it - I wouldn't ask for nor expect any dealer to kiss my gluteus maximus!
You know what? The more name calling you resort to & the more attacks you make the less credibility you have. You are showing that you are immature & there is no satisfying you.
If you think I am going to go out & destroy my truck so you will feel vindicated you are wrong. I am going to enjoy my truck until the day I may have a problem. IF that day comes I will ask my friends for help - I don't attack my friends. Maybe you should try that yourself.
Oh - don't like the bold type? Oh welll - I do! That should make it easy to ignore my posts since you obviously never read all of them anyhow - your arrogant attacks proved that.

Love my truck & PROUD of it! If you can't beat 'em, you're NOT driving a FORD!

Yes, I am an F150 owner and I too have been screwed by Ford (both FOMOCO and the dealers). While I am grateful that I don't have some of the more serious issues, like piston slap or rough idle, as some of my fellow members. I have had my own concerns with my truck, namely the mysterious driveline clunk that "all" F150's do this, or, "its a normal operating condition". You wouldn't believe some of the BS the service writers at 3 different dealerships tried to feed me. It does not matter how calm and rational you remain if they want to stonewall you they will. I blame this entirely on FOMOCO. I beleive that the dealers would really like to make the cusomer happy (dont laugh), FOMOCO will not pay for warrenty work. They will not pay for diagnostic work. If the vehicle is not obviously broken the dealer doesn't want to touch it. If they do make a repair (it is my understanding) that FOMOCO will only pay for the part and book rate for the labor. Dealers are loosing money on warrenty work.
So the dealers try to feed you lines of BS and hope you go away. I'll go away alright and not buy another Ford.

Sorry for the rant.

Hobbit- Ive been trying to get the Clunk fixed in my 2000 F-150 for 8 months now, 5 trips to the dealer, new leaf springs in the rear, rear work, and a new drive shaft- still clunking on decelleration. Have they figured out were the driveline clunk is coming from on your vehicle yet?
