I know this is not an engine modification but I just had my gears changed from 3.55 to 4.10. What a difference! My tires are 29.6 inches high vs stock height of 30.0 inches so I did the change for performance. Much better acceleration, much better drivability. It doesn't keep shifting into overdrive at every overpass. Less than $600 bucks and well worth it. I can't tow my boat for 300 miles, but I'm sure I will notice an improvement there as well.

I drove an F-150 with a supercharger and 4:10 gears,,,Unbelieveable!! Congrats on your mod. What rpms are you running at say,70. The only thing that has stopped me from doing this is losing top end speed. ie; going above about 2000 rpms at 65/70. My exhaust starts droning when I
go 75 ,,,,98
