Post Mobil 1 vs Amsoil

On all of Mobil 1's adds you always see the statement "Nothing outperforms Mobil 1" Has anyone ever called Mobil and asked how their synthetic oil compares to Amsoil or any of the other higher dollar synthetics?

I called recently and asked how Mobil 1 compared to Amsoil and the guy I talked to said he had heard of Amsoil but didn't know anything about it or how it compared to Mobil 1. Has anyone ever got anyone at Mobil to admit that Mobil 1 might not be the best synthetic or that there might be a synthetic that "outperforms" Mobil 1?

Scroll through the threads & you'll find lots of information. The naysayers will have their say, that I'm sure of. However, those of us who use Amsoil products in our vehicles know better. Yes, I and several other participants on these message boards are Amsoil dealers. I started using Amsoil products long before I became a dealer. Have fun with your research & keep us posted...Mark

Although I have not used Amsoil in my engine...either way...you can't go wrong with Mobil 1 or Amsoil. The "Nothing outperforms Mobil 1" slogan is simply for marketing.

I do have Amsoil 75W140 gear oil in my rear differential though...and I will most likely go with Amsoil tranny fluid when I get closer to changing it.

Mobil 1 is more than enough for me.
