Bottle Fed

Looking to put the X on the bottle. NX makes a system that looks good and is reasonalby priced. 75-100 hp for a few hundred bucks is a cheap boost. Yes I know, "your gonna fry your engine". Well, then it gives me an excuse to rebuild it.

I would like to hear from those that have installed it. My (wifes) X is mild on the mods so far. shift kit, Gibson exhaust, K&N, lowered 2" with nitro shocks, Helwig rear, Energy bushing up front, 18" wheels with 295/45/18 Proxies. It handles fantastic, but now I need more zip. by the way, '98, 4.6, 4x2. What is the '98 4.6 rated at? 215?

How long did it take to install? How much did it improve your ET's on and off the bottle?

The '98 4.6's had 215 hp. If you are going to go with the Nos, I'd personally install a higher pressure fuel pump and some 24-lb fuel injectors. That should at least hold you until you do fry your piston rings

Nitrous is GOOD!!!!!

Nitrous is not the beast everyone makes it to be. Its other peoples bad tunning that burns holes in pistons and rings. Ive been running nitrous in almost every car or truck i ever had. Everything but the new 2002 i have now. Never fried rings, never had any n2o mishaps that it was souly the n2o's fault. Only thing i ever had go wrong is when i first sarted tinkering i wasnt pulling enough timming out of the car. But these new cars & trucks do it on there own. N2O is very safe, cheap, and massive hp gains for the money, aslong as you dont try to much 85-100 shot is good to go. I only use wet systems but instead of dealing with the wet most people buy the dry kits, that is souly the buyers choice.

I run a wet type system on my Mustang. Nitrous is awesome. My Mustang picked up to a 7.84 in the eighth from an 8.71 on motor. My 302 has never had the valve covers off with 123,000 miles. I ran 100 shot with original fuel pump, injectors, 14 degrees of timing. I forgot to retard the timing the day I ran the 7.84. Prior to that, the best it would do with 10 degrees of timing was 8.0's. So, I left it at 14 degrees and raced it all summer like that. Never found signs of detonation. Nitrous isnt bad if properly installed. Read the plugs and run premium fuel. Listen closely for detonation. I say spray the heck out of it.
