I've noticed lately that there are alot of people on this site that have had there pass. side head gasket replaced and shortly after, their engine begins leaking again......
Has anyone had there pass. side head gasket replaced and the oil leaks not return? If so how many miles has it been since it was repaired?

I work in a ford dealer and i have done many pass side headgaskets and had only one comeback with it leaking again. on my truck the headgasket was replaced at 2000 miles and it now has 9500 miles on it.

 

I'm sending this topic back to the top of the list for another view! There are a number of people on this website that have had this work done.

Comm'on guys give me a little feedback... I have a 99 5.4L leak'in and i'm trying to decide how to handle this....

I have a friend that works at a dealership that has done many head gasket replacements. A few have come back a 2nd and 3rd time. He says Ford doesnt have a fix for it(other than doing it again). For what its worth, the left head gasket leaks also, you just don't notice it cause it drains back into the engine.

had mine replaced before the first oil change under 5,000 km, now my truck has nearly 40,000km and no oil leaks - 99 5.4l
