Having major problems with engine. Ran a diagnostic test and replaced all for that which codes came up,and reset computer as well. My boyfriend has so far replaced;the map sensor,oxygen sensor,spark plugs and wires, ACT sensor,and the Air bypass valve...which didn't make much of a differance. Truck is still backfiring,putting out coal black smoke and bad odor,rough idle but stays at high range, 6 spark plugs are blackish color and 2 are reddish/brown, there is hesitation,sometimes wants to stall when accelerated,uses at least twice as much gas as before,and check engine light stays on. Just started this around 2-3 days ago, and noone seems to know anything else to check on it and says he replaced everything possible. Can anyone help with anymore suggestions on what to test ? Please...need to get fixed by Monday...
