Post Smell raw fuel??

Was cleaning the snow of the Expy this morning and while it was warming up and I could smell gas/fuel. It was a fairly strong smell.

The only thing I can think of is that I had the fuel filter replaced about 6 months ago. I have often wondered if the Jiffy Job place did a good job or not. Perhaps thats been contributing to my 13 MPG average mileage?

Where is the fuel filter and what else could it have been?

It's the Superchip. Take it out. It's the cause of all your evils. Next it will be coolant on the ground and your paint will start peeling. Get rid of it before the wheels fall off.

Don't just throw it away since it can be recycled. Send it to me and I'll take care of it.

haha good one. I could sometimes smell gas real strong on my truck, and the previous owner had put an aftermarket gas cap on. Ford service didn't know how it even ran with that cap, and put a new one on. Doesn't seap anymore! Make sure it's on tight too. The fuel filter is on the inside of the frame underneath the cab section.

I would have said Superchip first but I have not run it with the chip in months. Pretty much since the bogus gas hike! Does not make sense for me to use the thing. I never would have bought the thing if I had known that the price of 93 octane was going to be that expensive.

I am using the standard Ford cap.
