Talking When will it stop!

I have a 99'SB 4.2-4x2,flowmaster deltaflow and K&N OEM replacement W/mod. air box,lowered 2-4.
My 94 ranger used to cut out at 110mph,but my f150 will run 103mph all day but nothing more. Is that just the way it is,or am I missing something,(like 2 more cylinders,HA!HA!

I had a 98 w/ the 4.2 that was bone stock, and the governor never kicked in.It would always top out at 104 mph. That was in 4th gear as it would slow down in 5th.The governers in our trucks do vary. Some can can only go 98 mph while others will go up to 108 or so. With the v6 the motor it is pretty much giving all it has to break 100 mph.My y2k 4x4 w/ v6 is pretty much stock and I can't even break the 100 mph barrier.
