Question Warranty Issue

Hello Everyone,

Reading some posts here about warranty work and such got me to thinking about something: Since I do my own oil changes, what would constitute proof of this to Ford if I ever needed to bring it in for warranty work on the engine/trans? So far, I've been saving my store reciepts for the oil and filters, and even the box lids of the filters, but is this enough? Would sure appreciate advice on this, maybe from some knowlegdeable Ford employee out there? TIA

Regards,
Matador

Thumbs up Matador-

What you're doing is perfectly adequate. Those things plus a log book of dates and mileages is fine.

Even through, the dealer can do an oil analysis and check if the oil is 20K or 3K.
