I get "the gurgle" too. After I do highway driving and then park and shut 'er down, the gurgling seems to come from the passenger side...almost right behind the glove box. I thought maybe it was just the antifreeze going back and forth from the overflow. ??

Well sometimes, if you're coming off of a freeway and the engine is hot, it will boil a little if you don't give the engine a chance to cool down by driving easy or letting it idle for a few minutes.
What happens is the metal in the engine is really hot and the fast moving coolant keeps it cool and all that air moving thru the radiator keeps it from boiling. When you shut down the engine without letting it cool down, that metal is still at the temps it was when it was under a heavy load. Suddenly, the coolant stops moving. The coolant next to the metal will sometimes boil.

Mine starts the minute I start it up. I cant really tell where it's coming from, but its pretty loud !!

Wow, I'm glad to hear this, sort of. My Expy does it but I've only noticed it when the weather is warmer and more humid, like summer and usually after I've been driving for just a few minutes and have the climate control on so it's cooling. And it DOES sound just like water boiling in a hot pot. Kind of a popping gargle.
I was thinking it was condensation pouring from somewhere onto something really hot. It doesn't last very long though.

I seem to hear the noise in the morning after the truck sits all night. Mostly it's when it's damp out side. It does go away after the truck warms up. Any more ideas?
