Dying
I have a 1997 ford f 150 4X4 and have been having trouble with the check engine light being on.It has 90,000 miles on it so I decided to take it to the dealer to have a complete tune up.It ended up being one of the O2 sensors. While they had it in there I had them change the plugs and wires, change the oil,and replace the air filter. It ranalot better until I Came to a stop, then it died.So now when ever I stop it dies.My question is did i ruin something when I ran my truck for 30000 miles with check engine light on or does it take awhile for the computer to remember how to run right?Any ideas would be helpful.
1+1=2
your truck was "running" before you took it to the dealer. Drive right back and shove it up their *** and make them fix it no questions asked.

Im laughing my *** off, very well put moose-man. Here's something you might want to try, un hook your battery and turn the light's on for about 10 min ,then turn light's off and hook her back up. this will reset your computer, it may help or it may not, if it dose not refer to the moose-man's reply. Im still laughing at that one.

It's quite possible that they unhooked your battery when servicing your truck. If that is the case the computer has to relearn the idle. This happened to me when I had my intake manifold gaskets replaced. The truck did not quit at stops but barely ran. It will probably take about 50 to 100 miles of driving to get back to normal.
