Post Ford's customer service.................

I have read on these posts that Ford doesn't know what "customer service" means. Sure they do, read on.

When I take my prize bull, Sir Robin, over to my neighbors for servicing his cows. This is what Ford thinks customer service means.
What do you think about that?

Baloney! I've had fantastic customer service BOTH from Ford Corporate as well as from my local dealer.

I just don't get all this complainin'. I had a call just last week from "Sharon" at corporate regarding the tonneau cover issue for my HD edition. She was great, and Ford is going way out of their way to satisfy me. They are going to spend over $500 that they wouldn't have to in order to make me a "happy camper."

My local dealer is super as well. He bends over backwards time and again to make things pleasant and to make me happy. (Admittedly, that hasn't been hard as my truck(s) -- second one in the past 5 years -- has never had to go back for a single problem.) But, they have offered free oil changes, free services, picking me up at my home and bringing me back and more.

I have NO complaints about service. I bought Ford stock back in '97 based on their service and on my new F-150 at that time, and the stock has done great, too!!!

One other comment. I purchased a brand new Mercedes 380SL in 1983 from Benson Mercedes in San Antonio on HWY 281. I had a few problems with that vehicle and didn't get nearly the service that I've gotten from Ford.

I wrote letters to corporate, called and went through all sorts of aggravation to get a problem fixed. Remember this is a Mercedes convertible!!! And, I paid one heckuva lot more than I did for my F-150.

Now, this isn't to say that Mercedes gives bad service, because I'm sure they don't. In fact, in general, I'm sure their service is spectacular. Just to say that isn't always the way it is. (BTW, I did get a case of wine with my name on each bottle after purchasing the Mercedes!!! )

Harley;

I am pleased as punch that you are getting good service, but I have not. I give my dealership every benefit of doubt and they stab me in the back every chance they get. This makes me 4 F150's, I had owned 3 Lincoln Town Cars, 1 Navigator, 3 Mustangs, 1 F350, all bought at the same dealer. And he screws me every time. I don't hate Ford MC nor do I hate Ford vehicles. I just wish they could service my F150 like they should. I have even sent them business and they said that appreciated it. They sure have a fine way of showing it.

razzle_dazzle_30, I don't mean to be a smarta$$ and please don't take it that way! But, if i'd had that many problems (12 vehicles in row!!!) with Ford, you can bet I wouldn't keep buying them no matter if I liked their styling or other reasons. I'd be long gone, and would be purchasing GM, Chrysler, Toyota, or whatever.

What a mess you've had with Ford -- 12 vehicles bad. WOW!!! I'm very sorry to hear that, dude. Change brands -- it's a jinx fer sure!

If this dealer has screwed you over that many times why do you continue to go back? Not to be a smarta$$ but I think I would have learned after the 1st vehicle, atleast by the 2nd one anyway
I have a great dealer (so far) of course I have only had mine back for the free oil changes and they did fix my leaking pinion seal while it was there.
