What Happened?
I Just put the K&N FIPK on my truck today and it seems like I lost some low end torque
. Above 2000 RPM I can tell a huge difference, but it just seems slower coming out of the hole. Did I open it up too much? I need some feedback from those of you with this FIPK, especially with the 4.6. I want my low end back. Thanks everyone.

Give it a few miles of driving, your computer most likely has to recalibrate itself to allow for a richer fuel mixture. Essentially what happens when you install these kits is intially you create a lean fire condition which typically clears up after a few miles, you can also disconnect your battery for about 15 minutes then reconnect it. You will still have to drive the truck to calibrate the ECM though.
It's much the same thing that one reads about over on the Computer Chip area. When I did my K&N FIPK, I did the same procedure as when the Superchip was installed: Unhook the negative battery terminal wire and turn on the lights for 5 minutes to drain the capacitors, etc. in the system. This will reset your computer.
