Post Crash1

Hey man, I love your truck. I was wondering how strong the stock engines are? I know that they can handle 6psi pretty well, but what about 6psi+NOS? Are there any pistons, connecting rods for these engines?

P.S. That 1 was meant to be a !.

Yes, I got the MPG.

So, about how much do you think it would cost for a set of forged pistons & rods?

Hmmm, I just went to their sight, $105 per piston, and $1450 for a set of rods. Damn these mod. engines!

Well, I think I am going to go with a 90-93 Mustang LX Coupe 351 TT. We will still have the truck though.

Cool

351 Twin Turbo huh? I have thought about that for my Cobra for a while now. Make sure you get some HUGE heads and intakes that can flow big numbers. You won't make any (ok, alot) power with parts designed for built 302's. A big free flowing exhaust and that should be near 700 HP easy. They get 500 out of TT 302's with decent heads and intakes. What are you planning for the tranny?

Exclamation

Good question on the tranny, I have no clue what I want to use. I would like it to be a 5 or 6 speed though, but if that cant happen auto. will be fine.
I was thinking I would make 350HP easy with a pretty built 351, then with the addition of TT, I should be about 500+. This is also going to be a daily driver, so around town boost will be set at low levels. I just need to start saving money to make this happen!
