First off make sure radiator collant is up to level. Have seen it with 4.6 engine where coolant level would be low and no hot coolant flows through the heat exchanger. Thus, low heat.....

Unhappy

I had the same problem in my truck not too long ago. I just tried to get some heat out of my truck in the mornings to defogg the widshield. I wound up taking mine into the local dealer as it was under warranty and they had to replace the air temp dial in the dash. My dial also, felt funny when I turned it back an forth. It had no resistnace over 3/4 of the turning motion. I also wondered if it cuased a vacuum leak also as i was sucking a little more gas at that time.

Co-worker had same problem on her turbo-Volvo. Coolant reservoir was empty... Hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm....

Put about 1 gallon of coolant in and the needle went back to the middle and she gave heat!

This girl drove her car with the needle BARRIED in the red zone. She thought the gauge was broken. I wonder how much damage she did?

Red... I believe that the temperature control **** is electrical and does not operate vacuum. The function-select **** does control vacuum, however.

Thanks, I really appreciate the info. It has plenty of in the resevoir. It goes to the dealer on the 3rd, even though it isn't doing it anymore. I will post the fix when I get it back.
