Again, my 99 F-150 with the 5.4
I notice that the cooling fan engages quite frequently when at idle. (the only time that I would notice this) I had the hood open after detailing the engine bay and noticed that even with a cold engine that the clutch fan engages on and off pretty often. Is this normal for a cold engine? I thought that these would only engage if the temp was high??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

I assume you are talking about a stock fan set up. Check coolant level. Being down a bit can cause it.
