Question Neal...

Hey Neal,

I noticed that you have a LOT of stuff done to your f150. I was just curious though if you changed your injectors at all to a bigger size? If so, what size? If not, why not? I'm thinking that this would probably help quite a bit with overall HP. I'm thinking of doing this myself if it is worthwhile.

Sorry, to but in this thread Qub3d, but I also have a question for Neal.

Neal- I just installed a BBK TB and the throttle cable is to tight. When I was removing the cable off the original TB, I heard a click and somehow it became shorter. After the install, there's no slack in the cable. Should there be some. Because when stepping on the pedal, it seems stiffer and punchier. Thanks.

Cool

HI!... QUB3D : Yes I have installed FMS 24LB injectors. If you do this you will have to have MIKE T make you a custom SUPERCHIP to recalibrate for the larger injector size. Do not go to bigger injectors without doing any re-calibration. I needed to upgrade to 24lb'ers because my 19lb ingectors could'nt support my H.P level. A 19lb injector (STOCK SIZE) will only support about 304 flywheel H.P at about 80 - 90% duty cycle. If you are not producing more than 304H.P than you don't need to upgrade to larger injectors. By just installing larger fuel injectors, you will not gain H.P. It's not a power making mod. It's like changing jets for optimim performance, in a carbed vehicle. Now if your maxing out your stock injectors then upgrading to larger one's will create a slight H.P increase because the smaller injectors were robbing you of power because they could'nt support enough fuel that your engine required.

HI!... JUPITERAK : There should be a small amount of play in the TB cable. Your the 1ST I've heard of that after installing a BBK 75MM TB the throttle cable got tighter. Usually it's the other way around. That's one reason that I created the "NPP" throttle cable adjuster. If I were you I would climb up under your dash and look at where the throttle cable enters the gas pedal it'self. At the top of the gas pedal there is a hole with a slot in it. Mabey when you disconnected it , it mabey popped out and is getting caught on it'self. It's got a large tapered ball on the end of the cable and it is possible for it not to seat FULLY back into it's location port. If it does'nt seat properly, it can make the cable tighter. It also could be that the BBK TB it'self has a manufacturing FLAW in it or the geometry of the cable camber is off. Try that and let me know how you make out.
