Question Swaping engines

I am swaping my 4.2 liter v6 and going to a 5.4 liter v8 I have all the materials to do it, but i am wondering if the cluster from a 2001 will fit in a 1997. My truck has a manual transimission but with the new transmission I need the new instrumental cluster in the dash. Is it going to go in without and modifications? I really appreaciate if anyone can help me. Thanks alot PS. If there is any other things you can let me know I will apreciate any information. Thanks again.

engine change

hello everyone,
i was hoping someone could provide some info for me. Iknow quite little about cars, so any help is greatly appreciated. i own a 1997 f150 xl regular cab. The motor in the truck is blown, and i would like to be able to find out if it is possible to drop a lightning motor in there. I have no idea what sort of modifications would have to be made. the rear end suspension was beefed up for towing purposes, and everything else is stock. I also dont really have a clue as to what the cost of anyhing would be, so any info on that would be great too.
thank you very much
steve
