Lets connect these two! I have read all manner of head gasket leak issues, passenger side rear of the 5.4's and 4.6's. Mine is a 4.6L, 2000 Romeo. Same issue as everybody has for the 5.4's. I have seen in past posts the same issue on 4.6's. Mine - dealer replaced gasket at around 25-28K, but it is leaking again but not yet dripping on exhaust at 34K. At its worst it used 1 qt oil every 500 miles. There clearly is a design flaw here. I am planning to take to dealer first chance I get.

Question, is there some movement by ford to have recall? I wonder if someone can get their hands on an internal document from ford? Can we pressure ford like we did on the radiator issue? On one post somebody said something about a TSB on the 5.4 but I never could find the full TSB. I know there is a TSB on "some 4.6L romeo engines" whatever the **LL that means, but cannot find the full one on the 4.6L either.

I'm ticked. I paid good money for this truck. Felt like I was robbed when I bought the ESP for protection when the 1st gasket went out , and now that it is leaking again sure glad I did.
