Power hungry
I have a '97 F-150 Flareside 4x4 Reg cab which I totally love. It has the 4.6 which is a very sweet little mill. However, being a former 5.0 Mustang owner, I miss the torque. I'm trying to get some ideas on increasing the bottom end power to a similar level as my old pony.I know it won't be as fast, nor am I looking for that. Top speed is'nt important as this is a truck after all. I was looking at Kenne Belle's twin screw type blower for it. Does anyone have any experience w/ this setup?? Would I be better off retrofitting a 5.0 crate engine in my truck? That 302 fuelie sure was one amazing mill. A torque monster for a small cube V-8.Any help would sure be appreciated. You guys kick a$$.
If you are going to spend the money on a blower, that is a quick way to get more power!
If you want something more NA, get a K&N filter. Gut the intake tube or get like a Velocity tube, K&N Gen II kit or Airraid intake kit. For the exhaust, stay conservative= 2.5-3.0" single exhaust system.
Other things for the engine would be pullies and an electric fan.
This will not net you the same as a blower, but will get you a good 10-20hp more from the motor for a few houndred dollars.

Sweeteffie,
You may want to consider a gear change. Check out my sig. It definately made the most difference in perceived power. And it cost much less.
