Question different oil

Okay guys, I just got my third oil change done on my truck. The first one was free at the dealer so I'm sure they used Motorcraft. The second I did and used Mobil 1 and a Purolator PureOne. This time I haven't had time to change it so I took it to my buddy. I told him Mobil 1, but he ended up getting Mobil Duraclean Synthetic Blend. He was doing it for free so I couldn't tell him no. Now I know as well as anyone else that you should stick with one oil and that is what I was planning with the Mobil 1, now he put the blend in. My question is should I stick with it until the next change or should I go ahead and go back to the Mobil 1 full synthetic? Also, has anyone heard of Rockhill Oil filters? To the best of my knowledge they are made by Wix, so what are your opinions?

wemjr,

Relax ....... your friend put a top quality oil in your truck. The oil installed is a mixture of petroleum and synthetic oil, absolutely nothing wrong with it.

You can go back to Mobil 1 next time if you wish or at anytime later. Hey, you have a good friend! Count your blessings. You oughtta see what my friends would have done ...

PS: You have great taste in vehicle color ... great minds think alike!

I had an '87 Ranger for five years and 80,000 miles. Used what ever Western Auto had on sale at oil changing time and Fram filters. Brands used Valvoline, Havoline, Castrol, Penzoil. 10w30 in winter, 10w40 summer and I don't think the engine knew the difference.
