Pretty much a K&N or Mobil1 filter are the best.

Ok, no time for more research. Hope that's good enough for you.

I use either a Fram "Tough Gaurd" or NAPA "Gold" filter.

Spring for something decent; it's cheap insurance.
K&N and Mobil 1 are great and available.

Thumbs up

Another vote for the Motorcraft. Got like four of them in my garage and about 20 qts of oil. Looks like a damn auto parts store!!

AHHHH... No wonder you won't use 5W-20 oil in your truck... You have too much of the old stuff leftover from the dark ages! Just joking...

Smile Frank S:

I guess you're all set if we ever get into a "Road Warrior" or "Damnation Alley" world!! Hope you have at least a 500 gallon tank of 93 octane sitting in your back yard too!

I really love the fact I can just up and change the oil and not have to leave the house to get the supplies. I usually just pick up my stock when I'm already at the store doing something else. Especially if the wife is shopping for clothes or other stuff at the good ol' Walmart!

Keep on Truckin'

Wix, AC Delco, Purolater, Motorcraft, Mobil 1 are pretty much the best of the readily available filters.

Oops, make that 44 quarts and 8 filters lol. I have to keep 3 types here, 10W30, 10w40 and 20W50.

Dennis: Saw the pretty red containers of Motorcraft 5w-20 Syn-blend today. 1.99 at auto-zone. They wanted 1.74 for regular Castrol GTX(what a rip).

Oh yeah, to stay on topic, stick with the Motorcraft, Purolator, NAPA Gold, Wix, Deutsch, or A/C Delco filters. Alot of people buy Mobil 1's, but they're over 10 bucks here.
