clicking
I have a 1999 XLT with a triton v8, 4.6. Recently I have noticed a loud clicking noise coming from the engine. It is rpm related because whenever I hit the gas, the clicking increases. Only does on cold start. Any cures?

I dont have the same problems but you might want to do a search for the dreaded Piston Slap...
