Well hello everyone...Here I am again with the same old problem everyone else seems to have...I changed the oil this weekend and found a lot of oil on the bottom of the engine...Well I tracked it up to the right side head again...Changed the gasket at 23K miles...It now has 31K miles on it...When I took it in to show the service dept they said both heads were weeping oil, but the right side was the worst of the two...Suppose to change both head gaskets, oil pan gasket, check the rear main seal, and while they are there they found one of my high pressure power steering hoses leaking also...Talked to the service rep about bad block casting and they said they would check it when they had the motor open and if it was bad they would replace the engine...So here we go again...I opted to get an extended warranty on this because it is such a problem with the little things...Anyway this is not what I wanted but at least still under warranty...Steve

 

How much did the extended warranty cost you???

 

The extended warr cost me 1100 for 100K miles with no time restrictions on it...I went over this one carefully before I bought..I researched for about 8 months before I finally got the one I did...It was warranty gold....there is no diamond or platinum pland none of that stuff...two plans....25 decuctable or 50 deductable....not a bunch of options...I researched the chamber of commerce and the BBB on this outfit and it came up good...There is a 30 day grace period before coverage starts so I got it well within the time plus if you get it while under factory warranty it is less expensive that way...I know a lot of them are going for 800 or 900 out there...and I could have gotten the extended dealer...but only good for 60K...I wanted the maximum time....All you really have to do is make sure you keep the vehicle serviced in accordance to the manufacuters book and keep the receipts of service..I do this anyway and write down all the mileages when you do the services and what lubes or fluids you use...if you want a website e-mail me and I will send it along...
