Intake noise
Hello all.
I have a 97 f-150 Lariat 4.6L w The following:Airaid intake,gibson exhaust & superChip.
The problem I am having is that there is a loud noise coming from the intake?throttle body area. It souunds like a choke beind applied or something. The idle rises & it stays there untill I hit the gas for 1 sec Then it drops to normal.
Can anyone give me some insight as to why this may be happining. It did it before the chip instal so I can't blame that. I noticed it after the airaid install.
I did take off the power (/) aid spacer & I did not notice it when it was on.
Any insight would be a good thing : ) LOL

I have the Airaid on my 99 Ford F150 V-6 I do notice a slight roar at start up but it goes away really quick and idles normal... but at about mid throttle while driving you can hear a whistle coming from under the hood... I think that is normal at least that is what I've been told... but you might want to do what I did... silicone the MAF sensor to the mounting bracket and then bolt it on... it did lower the amout of whistle I think or I've just got used to it...
