Thumbs up Airforce One Installed for 1 week now...

All this talk about the WMS made me want to publish my experience with the Airforce One. The instructions were pretty good, I had to call them a couple times for verification, but overall they were good.

The packaging was great and it arrived on time.

The product is great. I have had A LOT of compliments on the look and the sound. It has a nice rumble to it. Not so much when you are cruising, but at WOT it sounds nice.

The performance has been good, mostly at low RPM's. It seems to jump from 500-2,000 RPM's quicker than before.

As for MPG increases, I've seen none. I had the 285/70/16 tires added the next day and my gas mileage has actually decreased 2MPG since those 2 mods.

Overall I'm pleased and would highly recommend this product.

Bosch54,

Go to http://www.suvspecialties.com/products2.html

You can read about the product there and then give them a call. I called and ordered mine on a Saturday, paid for rush delivery and received it on Weds. The transaction was very smooth and it arrived when they said it would.

I think I paid $290 including shipping, but I paid an extra $30 to get it delivered quickly. I think the product is $259 plus shipping.

If you call them, ask them why they send an orange rubber connector instead of a black one. You'll see what I mean when you get it.

Also, if you buy it, go to "the other Ford truck site" and check out the "how-to's" section. There is a detailed explanation (with pictures) of the installation process.

Good luck and let me know what you think.

**** Also I had a brain fart about my mileage. I haven't re-calibrated my speedometer since the new tires, so my mileage is all goofed up. I don't think that I am getting 2 MPG less. I'll let you know after I have it re-calibrated.

I put one of those in a week ago, also. I haven't had a chance to check mileage yet, but it does perk things up. And it does add a nice growl from under he hood when you stomp on it. Looks real cool, too

They also sell the Air Force One. Excellent customer service and fair pricing. There is even a very detailed How-To-Article link on the site. It's at the bottom of the Air Force One page, (just after checking out)

Cool

Re: the orange rubber connector. That is aircraft quality hi-temp silicone hose used in jets. Unfortunately, it only comes in orange. Guess they don't worry about having the hood of the plane up!

Question

Well this kinda suprised me. I checked out partsforyoutruck.com. When I clicked on the Herculiner link, I saw a very familiar picture. I took it! It's my truck! WTF?

Dude, that's f'd up. I guess it's a compliment to how well you did, but it's still a slap in the face.

Go after them and get some cash for the use of the picture.

Well, I emailed them and asked if they give me some free shipping or something. No such luck, but they did offer to take it down. I told em they could keep it.. At least I know someone is looking at my webpage

Go BUCKS! Hell ya..
How about Corey Dillon setting the alltime NFL rushing record for a game today? The Bungals had over 400 yds rushing and 14 yds passing. Amazing.. Every dog has it's day

Talking

2000,

At least they acknowledged that they took it. I'd tell them to take it down just out of spite. They should have asked you first. If you did it to them, I'm sure you would have heard about it!

The Bengals looked good today. I'm not much of a pro football fan, but I was glad to see them get a win. I follow Ohio pro sports teams, but I'm a much bigger college sports fan.

I guess when you grow up in central Ohio, college sports seem like pro sports. I've been a Buckeye fan since I was a youngster.

It still erks me that if we didn't stink up the place against Minnesota, we could be ranked #3. Our day will come, but man am I gettin' tired of waiting!
