Question how much powe do think i have.

97 4.6
220hp 170 rwhp or so
powerdyno supercharger 85 to 90 rwhp
ported t-body 5 rwhp
t-body spacer 2 rwhp
headmen headeds 10 rwhp
gibson cat back 8 rwhp
jabocs ing+ wires 3 to 5 rwhp
reburned superchip 15 to 20 rwhp
added power 125 to 135 rwhp
stock rwhp 170 to 175.
170 + 125 rwhp =295 at the wheels.
so 370 to 380 at the flywheel.do you think this is near to what it may be.i have never dynoed my truck.the numbers are from talk on this web site.so if you think i am off, tell me.it good to be back over with the big boys.i put my t/a away for winter.so i will be spending all my time over here agine

You cannot just add up what is claimed HP. You need to tune what you have on a dyno. I would guess that you may have around 230hp at the rear wheels. Another person, crash1 posted that with a magnacharger he dynoed 217 at the rear wheels.

Hi Kevin,

I agree, you cannot just add up all the gain claims, however, in doing some quick checking, while I don't agree with a couple of the numbers there from things like ported throttle body & spacer etc., your flywheel numbers should be pretty close, I figure around 360 or so, which will give you about 295 peak or so at the rear wheels in an automatic, as you have a 65 hp loss to the driveline in that powertrain, basically.

Figuring 220 hp stock, the Powerdyne @ 6-7 PSI adds 105-110 hp at the flywheel, and custom Superchip for the blower another 20 minimum, about 10 hp for the exhaust, etc. This all supposed of course that this engine is making it's 220 hp rating, and that it's been properly tuned for your mods, which I know it has, since we did that for you.

Given that power level, 1/4 mile times could be anywhere from very high 13's possibly to mid-14's, assuming good traction and cool weather. That being said, you'll never really know until you actually take it down the track, of course.

Just to give you an idea, Neal the HP Freeak & I have figured that he's making about 325-330 hp at the flywheel, and he just ran a 14.72 @ 93 mph with so-so traction. I don't remember your exact vehicle configuration off the top of my head, but assuming roughly the same vehicle weight, which could be off, of course, that would perhaps put you in the low-to-mid 14's. We'll just never know until you actually run it at the track.

Cool

I ran my truck on the dyno prior to the Pro M, BBK TB, custom in take tube, and 4:10 gears and I put 248.7 to the rear wheels with the mods seen below. I am capable of more and I am working on that now with another dyno planned in November with all the "new" stuff. I am pulling 5 psi with the Magnacharger.
Mike, after the run I will send the chip back for your usual tweeking as to the 4:10 gears etc. I am thinking that my fuel/air will be better with the new MAF and TB. I will call you on the phone and discuss it after the run.
I will make some 1/4 mile runs after all is done and it cools down here in Florida! I am preparing for the second annual gathering,or get together, or what ever you call it.

Hi Flats Man,

248 at the rear wheels is quite an improvement on that 4.6, but I agree, there's more power there!

Talk to you soon.
