Post Lightning motor swap

Got an offer to buy a 99 lightning engine for 2200 bucks with 10K on it and 500 bucks for the tranny. What other expenses would I run into besides boost guage and new computer chip???

I am not positive but I am pretty sure you would need the following

Lightning alternator
intercooler reservoir
lightning gears
mass air sensor and ducting
intake manifold
computer
wiring
drive shaft
belts and pulleys
inginition system
more...??????

Here is a post I found when I did a search for "crate" under the Lightning forum https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/001171.html

I've got the same axle ratio as the L but I spose I'll have to get the rest. I'd probably get an aftermarket MAF, air induction and carbon fiber driveshaft anyway. This could be interesting. I'm thinking of stripping the interior to axe a little weight also.

Your a lucky man! I've got a 56 f-100 that would love to have that engine.
Got all you can get. Computer, harness, mass air sensor, as a matter of fact all the sensors and harnesses you can get your hands on.
Excuse me while I dream for a minute. AHH, shiny red 56, IFS and a lightnig engine. HOLD ME DOWN.
The best source would be Ford Motorsport SVO Tech "Hot Line" (810) 468-1356. It's hard to get throught sometimes but it's worth the effort.

I really hope you don't beat me to the punch....that is exactly what I'm planning, but mine is still a ways down the road. Just got my '56 out of 9 years of storage, and have to build a little bank roll before I can start the project.
email me offline, if you would like to chat about Red 56's with Lightning powertrains (sford@peoplepc.com)
I'd be interested to hear about your truck.
