4*4 track times
I was hoping for some 1/8 and 1/4 mile times on ext. cab 4 wheel drives with either the 4.6 or 5.4. The only mods I have is true duels. Also, is there any horsepower gain or loss from true duels? My truck has two 2.5 inch pipes form the maniflold back and four inch tips. LOUD.
alpike,
i hate to tell you this, but i don't think too many guys run their 4X4's for time...not me anyway. if i were looking for times i would have bought a lightnin...lol....anyway, ask something about how well you can pull a full load up a muddy bank...you might get more responses...good luck, Rich.

Ran my '97 4x4 regular cab with a 5.4L two times. My first run, I ran an 18.5. My second run was later on at night and I ran a 17.55 @76 mph. By the way, I have a 5 inch Superlift and 35 inch Super Swampers.
4x4 track times
When I ran my truck bone stock it ran a 16.7 in the 1/4, after a Gibson exhaust, K&N filter, and the air box mod, it ran a 16.14. My 16.09 was with my G-tech. Many guys on here like to downplay the G-tech, but whatever I run at the track, my G-tech is always 1/10 off. You just need to know how to set it up right. Hope this is what you're looking for. BTW, when I'm at the track there are a lot of guys running ext cab 4X4's.
1/4 mile 4by times
Thanks a lot for the response. I am going to run mine at the track next weekend. I went with my bud in his 98 z71 last fall and I believe that he ran a 17.8. His truck will get me from 60-100, but I can whoop him pretty good on take-off. Hopefully, I can get a better time than his. My truck seems pretty quick. It is a little faster than my two buddies with identical trucks.
Flats man went from an after market "Y Pipe" to 2 1/2" into a muffler with dual 2 1/2" pipes coming out of it, to true-dual 2 1/2" pipes and lost 17 RWHP!!! I think the best way to go, for me anyway, is single 2 1/2" straight pipe.

2.5" diameter pipes might be a little too big for a fairly stock engine. im redoing my exhaust soon, and im gonna be running 2.5" straight pipes, but my engine will have high compression and aftermarket heads/cam/intake. for your case, i think you would have been better off using 2.25" pipes with some sort of cross pipe (H or X). hope this helps, good luck!
