Oil Filter Tightness

I remember a short time ago a discussion about how tight some oil filters were. I think I've found out why. My son started working at an oil change place and one of the first things they told him was that if an oil filter came loose he would be fired. So he now reefs it down for all he's worth. I pity the dude doing the next changes after the young kids are done being scared by their bosses.

I got a Craftsman Strap Wrench set for Christmas. Tried the small one out on the oil filter for the first time last week. It worked great. Easy oil filter removal no matter how tight. Highly recommended for 19.99.

Hopefully the filters are being backed-off a bit to allow the gasket to decompress.

Did you know that used motor oil can cause cancer? I don't know if I would want my kid messing with that stuff for 8hrs a day.

Just something to think about.
