got some info

hey,

just to let you know, try to not work with the dealer ship on this one. (unless you have a connection of some kind )

they will absolutly rip you off. i have a xl (see sig) and i do not have a tach. so i asked them how much to replace my cluster with the cluster that comes on xlt's (with tach) or maybe even the L cluster. they gave me outragous numbers. $600 for the xlt cluster and $800 for the L cluster plus $200 for installation!! i am not an automotive expert, but i can sure as heck tell you that that is seriouse BS. i went the after market rout and bought a autometer tach for 64 bucks plus shipping at truckperformance. It was totally the way to go for me. too bad i can not install her yet because i have to "signal port". i am going to make a homemade adapter to solve the probelm. If i don't i would have to wait till summer when autometer is sapposedly coming out with an adapter of their own. just my .02

good luck though. let me know if you find out some good info. i am definitly interested. thanks.
