Duel Fuel propane engine
My dad just ordered his duel fuel f150 on friday. its an awesome deal. its a $30k truck that'll end up costin about $11k. the only bad thing is that the damn thing isnt going to be in until june or july. thats a long wait, but itll be worth it. the sweetest thing is being able to ride in the carpool lane by yourself.

I have a couple buds who went to Flagstaff to get their alt fuel trucks, down here in the valley they have a long list for em but up there you can get them right away. Excellent deal!

Steve,
being in Michigan, you probably wouldn't get one for as cheap, but I don't know. In Arizona, a law/bill was passed a few months ago to encourage alternative fuel use. Depending on the emissions level, the state will give you from 30-50% of the purchase price of a vehicle back plus the incremental/conversion cost of the alternative fuel option. Here's how mine will work.
I ordered a F 150 with the Bi Fuel option from Ford. The Total cost is $32,000. Because it is certified as a ultra low emission vehicle, I get 40% of the Purchase Price back ($12,800), but don't forget about the incremental cost wich includes everthing that is required to get the alt fuel option-in my case that includes 7700 pound payload, alt fuel engine, propane system and auto transmission, for a total of ($9150). Total money back is($21950), subtract that from the original price and the net cost is $10050. And I have a truck that should get me about $6000 trade-in, so I pay $4050 to trade up to a 2001 F150 4x4 supercab xlt.
The thing is, you have to be an AZ resident to take advantage and the Gov. is gonna try to change the law pretty quick cause too many people are taking advantage...duh. But mine will be ok cause I already have a contract and submitted my application. My biggest problem is getting Ford to build the F@#%&*( thing, there is some sort of hold up and last I heard, they won't even start building them until Dec 4(ordered it in early June) and no telling when they will build mine...anybody got any connections?? I want it now, not in June;(

Steve, I'm in the same boat with my Bifuel factory truck. I ordered my Bifuel in mid June and can't get a delivery date committment. Earliest I've heard is January, latest in March.
Have you looked into the extended warranty? When I ordered, Ford didn't have a special rate for Bifuels, so they applied the pricing related to a regualr vehicle. The 6 yr/100k for my 4x4 x-cab was less than $1500.
