+4s and FMS 9mm wires install
I Did the FMS 9mm wires and Bosch +4 plugs this morning. Start to finish it took only 90 minutes. Was a peice of cake.
I disconnected the battery, put some towels on the fenders, climbed up there, yanked the FIPK, disconnected the electrical connection for the injectors, yanked the wires and grommets as one assembly, blew out all the plug holes with 120 psi air, swapped the plugs one at a time using one drop of gear oil on each plug. The new 9mm FMS wires were a tight fit in the looms and a snug fit on the plugs as well. The fact that the FMS wires were numbered helped alot. Connected the injectors and then the FIPK and battery.
Cleaned up the mess, and VAAAROOOOM...fired dat mother right up. After a 20 minute idle and inspection took it for a test ride, seems to have smoothed out the bottom end some, and still pulls great. May have picked up a little extra intake noise, but I like it.
