Thumbs down Help, Code P0302

I have a 1998 Nascar Official Truck, 4.6L, auto, 3.73 with no mods except a K&N and modded airbox (60,000 miles). Just pulled up P0302 with a scanner (#2 cyl misfire). Feels like its running on 7 cyl. I have spark all the way to the plug and wires checked good. Any suggestions? Ignition module maybe and where is it at?

Disconnect the Fuel injection plug for the number#2 cyl with the motor off. Reconnect and
reset computer. To reset the computer just disconnect the battery and turn lights on then reconnect the battery and start her up...

I had the same problem and it was a loose fuel injector plug..
Good Luck
Let us know how you make out.

Angry #2 misfire

I have a 98 4.6 and #2 cylinder did the same thing. Mine is really bad I did a compression check and it was nil. I am pulling the head right now to see what the problem is. Just to be safe check you intake for leaks, my friend has the same truck and that was his problem.

I had a po308 (eighth cylinder) code and the dealer replace the coil pack.did you pull the plug out and check the spark that way?
