Post Lightning Supercharger

Is it possible to remove the supercharger off a 99 Lighting Engine and install it on a 2001 5.4. I have found one cheap and really dont want to change an engine but was thinking about it for the Supercharger.

Cool

Yes it will bolt right up, but im sure there are other things that you will have to change out. Also don't forget that your egine is not made for a supercharger so don't drive it like you would a lightning. Also are they selling the whole lightning supercharger/mainifold combo? If it's just the s/c itself then that could be why it's so cheap. The more info you have the more we can help.

The lightning engine was modified to handle the power of the supercharger. I forget where I get this from but if you go ahead and bolt that sucker on there it will blow out the bottom of your engine. But hey, its your money. Let me know how easy the clean up is :-)

Lightning engines have an 8.4 compression ratio, compared to 9.0 for normally aspirated. The pistons on L's are forged aluminum, otherwise, everything else is the same... except for the stock tranny, computer, etc.
