Need Help w/ Airaid
I installed the Airaid FIPK without any problems. I did just like the instructions and everything went smooth. The first time I started the motor everything was great and I test drove it around the block a few times. The second time I started the motor the "check engine" light came on but I didn't panic because I read a lot of other postings reguarding FIPK's. So I removed the MAF sensor and cleaned it. I reset the computer again. I went through this process three times. But it seems like every second time I start the motor after I reset the computer the "check engine" light comes back on. I can drive for 30 miles or just let it idle for a minute the first time after I reset computer and it's OK. But the second time after resettting computer the light comes on shortly after the system goes through its initial system check. Does anyone know what could be the problem? TIA
Jim

When you say "reset the computer," did you actually disconnect the battery? The best way is to disconnect the battery and then turn on the headlamps to drain any voltage from from the computer, capacitors, etc.
Also, make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks and recheck all hose connections.

Yeah, I disconnected the battery and turned on the headlights for 15 minutes before reconnecting battery. I have checked all connections and no vacuum leaks. It runs great all the time with the light on or off. After I reset computer, I can drive as long as I want without the light comming on. It's the second time I start the motor the light comes on.

Sorry, I can't help. That's kinda unusual for the C.E. light to come on every 2nd time. Try doing a search for Airaids in the Engine forum. There's alot of airaid owners here. If all else fails try giving the company a call.
Good luck.
Good luck.
