Post Most reasonable HP gain?

What is the most reasonable gains that can be expected? For example:
Will a MAF give further gain over a Gen II package alone?
Will headers give further gain over catback alone?
What about power pulleys? Will wires & coil get me more that just my chip? I know that you can't get published numbers when all are added together. I was just wondering if anyone has decked out a 5.4 and then dyno'd the results?

Thanks,
Boudy

This thread https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/002159.html contains the following info.

HI!... POWERLIFTER405 : As I say in my sig, my H.P ratings are ESTIMATED. I never go by what a aftermarket manufacturer claims their product will give you in H.P. I have found that they always are OFF by a few H.P at least. PLUS, I talk to MIKE TROYER quite a bit on the phone about H.P and TORQUE #'s. Mike apparently gets a lot of data that SUPERCHIP's gives him on aftermarket product testing. SUPERCHIP's uses a "EDDY" style dyno which is a hell of a lot more accurate than those run of the mill "DYNOJETS". I trust MIKE whole heartedly in giving me the truth on exact H.P figures. The following are the "CLAIMED" H.P #'s of popular aftermarket add-ons :
=SUPERCHIP - 28H.P
=ASP POWER PULLEYS - 8-14H.P
=AIRAID/K&N FILTERPACK - 14H.P
=CATBACK EXHAUST/OR TRUE DUEL EXHAUST WITH HIGH FLOWING MUFFLERS - 14-17H.P
=TWIN ELECTRIC FANS -12-17H.P
=JBA HEADERS - 10-30H.P
=POWERAID TB SPACER - 7-15H.P

Now the following is what I figure and what MIKE has told me that SUPERCHIPS has received on their dyno testing. (MIKE I'm doing this from memory, so I'm sorry if I'm slightly off on the #'s) Mike please correct me if I'm wrong.

=SUPERCHIP - 28H.P (PROVEN ON THE DYNO)
=ASP POWER PULLEYS - UP TO 14H.P WITH THE 3 PEICE PULLEY SET. Since I have only got the 2 peice, MIKE and I figure a true 10h.p
=AIRAID/K&N FILTERPACK - 10-12H.P (PROVEN ON THE DYNO) I figure 10H.P BECAUSE I HAVE A CUSTOM FABRICATED AIR INTAKE SYSTEM WITH A BIGGER K&N FILTER.
=CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM -10-14H.P (DEPENDING ON SET-UP) I figure 10H.P. I have a custom exhaust system consisting of a "NO Y" TRUE DUEL EXHAUST WITH STRAIGHT IN, STAIGHT OUT 2-1/2 INCH FLOWMASTER 3-CHAMBER "RACE" STYLE MUFFLERS, EXITING OUT BEFORE THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL (3") LIKE THE LIGHTNING.
=TWIN ELECTRIC FANS - 10-15H.P (PROVEN ON THE DYNO, DEPENDING ON FAN MANUFACTURER AND SIZE OF FAN) I figure 7H.P AND I AM USING TWIN DERALE 16" ELECTRIC FANS.
=JBA HEADERS - 14H.P (PROVEN ON THE DYNO)(5.4) I FIGURE 20H.P BECAUSE MINE HAVE BEEN HAND PORTED, BOLT DIMPLES HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND HAVE HAD A CUSTOM SUPERCHIP PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR THE HEADERS WHICH YEILDS APPROEMENTLY 5H.P EXTRA.(PROVEN ON THE DYNO)
=POWERAID TB SPACER - 0H.P GAIN. I found in testing that the poweraid tb spacer actually made my truck run 1/10th slower at the dragstrip every time installed it. If anything, it causes H.P loss in my opinion.

So there you have it, that's how I came up with my H.P predictions. As you can see I did some research and I feel that I am not way off base, but that's my opinion.
=STOCK 5.4 ENGINE 260H.P
=28H.P
=10H.P
=10H.P
=1OH.P
=20H.P
=7H.P
Add that all up, and it comes to 345H.P. I would honestly say that there is NO WAY that it is more than that!, but close to it.

Cool

Thanks Neal: This is good info. I will surely use it. By the way, I met Mike on the phone this morning, great help and a class act. I thought he was ruffing me up at first but he was making sure that he was not stepping on another chip dealer before helping me. Note to all, buy chips from Mike, not E-BAY.
