I'v always used MSD wires and been very happy with them. They usually run $70-$80 for the custom fit.

Taylor Spiro Pro wires are really nice. A few engine building books on the Ford v6 and 302 reccommend them as the best.

They are like $40 a V8 set at summit. I dont know the exact price for the ford 4.6/5.4 engines.

I have Jacobs wires on my F-150. They are guaranteed for life. If any or all wires ever go bad, they will replace them for free.

Also, there is no voltage drop with Jacobs wires, so you get the full charge to the plugs.

sboarder,
I agree with cphilip about the Ford Motorsports set. I plan to put some on my truck in the near future. They are cut to fit, bright blue 9mm and look really sharp. I found the set for $75. Good luck.

Have Holley plug wires on my 1997 4.6. Tried MSD & the boots are too big in diameter & won't fit. 5.4 users w/coil on plug should call MSD "Joe Pena" to see if Motorcraft coil on plug could be adapted to MSD wires.

1997 reg cab, flareside
4.6, 5 spd
Steeda pulleys
Accel Coil packs
K&N FIPK
Jacobs DIS
Autolite copper core plugs gapped at .060
.070 is next
Holley plug wires
Magna Flow muffler w/dual exhaust
Dyna-Glass cover
Center Line Cobra wheels w/GY 275/60?R17 tires, 285/65/R17 coming soon for rear
Dark Toreador red w/Cordovan interior
Captains chairs
Love my truck

I just ordered a set of Jacobs for my 97 f-150. I called Jacobs direct and they said they were going to give me a deal. The wires were regularly $176 but they would sell them for $151 and throw in the seperators. I then went to a local PepBoys and they wanted $96.00.($10 for the seperators) I called back Jacobs and they insisted that they could not be the correct wires. Then they proceeded to tell me that it may be difficult to get the lifetime warranty if I did not buy them from Jacobs direct. I double checked the part number with summit and then purchased them through PepBoys. I don't know what type of game that Jacobs is playing but I think that they are JERKS. It is a shame because everyone I talked to recommended their product. I am looking forward to putting the wires in but, I hope I never have to deal with the company.
I have read other threads about problems with Jacobs the company. Just my 2 cents.
